2013 Sport Stock HU now w/ BT

Purchase a new 2013 Fit Sport a few days ago. Loved the car but only thing missing was it didn't have bluetooth. I only wanted audio and didn't care for hand free phone. Mission accepted.

I started with this forum and investigated the BT35-HON and Belkin solutions. Both were nice but I didn't want to open up my dash and I didn't want a bunch of wire running everywhere. I wanted to keep everything to little to no cables at all. I knew the USB port can power the iPhone so it had to be at least 10v. I search online for a few days and this is my solution. I notice no one else on the forum was using this set up.

I purchased two items.
1.
HomeSpot NFC-enabled Bluetooth Audio Receiver HomeSpot NFC-enabled Bluetooth Audio Receiver

2.
Flat Aux Cable w/ 45 degree jack. Flat Aux Cable w/ 45 degree jack.

Tested it out and it works great. Audio is nice and clear. The BT unit is powered by a 5v mini usb to usb cable. The flat aux cable makes everything nice and flat and I didn't bother me.

Works fine for the iOS. NFC feature lets you sync by tapping your phone if you are on NFC enable phones.

*Issues*
On the iPhone, each time i get in the car and start it, I have to go to setting and manually connect the phone. Not the end of the world for me.

Got the idea from this

This looks like a great simple solution for someone like me.I still play CD's lol but my Daughter likes to use Pandora on her iphone in the car.

I like this better then just hooking up the aux cable to the phone. Thanks for sharing this with everybody.

Thanks!! I need to give this a try too. I thought I needed to buy a new stereo with BT to have BT connection.

Are you able to use the channel up and down to switch songs with this device?

So I'm thinking that you would still have to use the phone's mic when answering a call? and no way to dial... Meaning, you can't have your phone in your pocket and start calling.

Hummmmm... for audio files that sounds great, but I would just use a USB flash drive.

So I only use it for audio and no phone calls. I have made it a habit to not talk or text while driving.

The device does not allow steering wheel control. I control all function via the phone.

I have had it for about a week now and it's perfect for me. No fuss. Plug and play. Cheap.

Sounds great, oohai.

I might still get one of these for my garage so that I can play off my Android via boom box.

nice!

this one's another simple option i was looking into before (but lost interest lol). although you may have to charge it occasionally, not a problem with the stock USB port.
