Aftermarket Stereo Suggestions

Aftermarket Stereo Suggestions
I bought my 2010 Honda Fit about two months ago. I recently discovered that the person who owned the car before me broke off the tip of a cable in the auxiliary jack. I took it back to the dealer and they were unable to get it out. They said I'd have to have the whole stereo replaced, which they'd charge $800-900 for.
Since I think the whole thing looks hideous, I'd rather get a new one put in if I have to drop that much money. Any suggestions? I have an old stereo from my previous car... a JVC RD530... that I'd happily use if it is compatible.

If you are ok with a single din unit, I would suggest the Pioneer DEH-80PRS. It is bottom line the best rated deck for under $300, has a TON of features.
DEH-80PRS - CD Receiver with 3-Way Active Crossover Network, Auto EQ, and Auto Time Alignment | Pioneer Electronics USA
You can find it on ebay for under $300, then just get the proper install kit and wiring harness.
I have this unit, and bar none it is spectacular.
