Kicker CompR series

Anyone used the Kicker CompR series of subs? I picked a couple of the 8 inch one's up for my girlfriend's fit when crutchfield marked them down to 50 from 100 this week. She wants a little bit of bass in the thing, but nothing that will cause annoyance. Head unit has been changed out with a Pioneer FH-X720BT, and she has new speaker's for it already but they are not in the car. I figure one of these subs will suffice for her, but have the second if not. Car will also be getting sound deadening through it once I get it installed.

They came in today and I like the look and feel of them. Will be a few weeks before I can install since it is part of her Christmas gift.

I had 1 kicker comp 8 to replace my stock 8 in the back deck of my 08 Accord EX-L Navi coupe. I she only wants "some" bottom end, 1 of them will do I promise for her needs it sounds like. My 8 was only 100 watts rms vs yours 300 watts rms max. 1 of those would sound awesome. Especially in a hatchback. I normally do one 8 but a friend was given away a low line Alpine Type-E sub which 1 of those 8's would blow away. If I were u, just get a ported box for one sub. I promise she'll be impressed.

I have a generic slanted box I am going to put it in for now just to see if she likes it. I am probably going to build a setup like the one linked below for the final install of it. I really like the look of it. I went ahead and ordered the sub grill cover just in case I go this route too.
As far as using the other sub. It will either be sold, or I will order a 3rd and put two of them in my mustang.

I got my Alpine Type E sub installed today. I chose to get a rear slanted no name sealed box so the rear seats can still recline. It matched the hi end infinity component's perfectly. I'm just mad I took a late appointment because wasn't much time to cruise around enjoying my music I a new way. I be back out listening to different music like I haven't heard d4. Those old MTX sub amp is more powerful than listed like Rockford Fosgate amps. The loc wasn't maxed out so I did that and readjusted the gains on the amps. Wow what extra voltage on loc worked great. I adjusted the x-over on the amp running the Infinity Kappa mids/highs with the hi-pass filter on and above 80hz. The sub amp run low pass and 80hz and below. I'll take photos today
.
