Dude this looks like the Miami coast line. Did you go out to the meet on Saturday? If so, I did not see you there. I was at the caravan spot to ride out to the meet and I was the only Fit at the meet at Crandon Park on South Beach . There were hundreds of cars out there.



I was one of the first to have them on too. But as you can see, we both have different taste in locations for the sidemarker. I love them. They're an extra turn blinker and they set off the look that i was going for. What there isnt, is a template for where to place them on our GE8 Fits. So thats up to you if you decide to handle the project yourself. But remember, measure twice and cut once! lol

yea i was definitely there, but i showed up a little late as my brother was having last minute errors with his car! At what time did you leave? and i didnt got to the meet up spot cause that is way out south west for me to go to... to bad we didnt get to meet. i was gonna write to u on here but i figured by the time you saw it , it was gonna be to late.

Well i dont remember when u did ur let alone the exact time i did mine lol but i do know we were the first to do it on the GE'S. and thanks man im satisified on how they came out. ill through another on out there :0)

You should recover that lip in teal! Teal and red look badass together, as well as being complimentary to gray. Designer's secret. Still really different looking, but cleaner than the caution tape look.

Photos look good junkie. I need to get off my lazy ass and work on my car again. Its been 4 long months since I gave it any attention. I want to get the sport grill and sidemarker too. From which Honda car sidemarker did you guys use? DC5, FA5, EP3, EK, EG, DC2? Or does the Fit has its own? I am dremel ready! Lol.

 

I don't care for the side markers personally. It's just cluttered looking, not as clean. It's also not very jdm, it's much more usdm The US DOT is who makes manufacturers put them on their cars. The fit has the reflectors in the head lights tho and the turn signal bulb is visible from the side, so I guess DOT didn't see "fit" to make Honda add the side markers.

 

I used the dc5 sidemarkers. and do it up man.. lol

 

well to each their own right? i dont see how it is a "clutter" especially it being so small on the fenders. And how is it that it is not jdm? I am not sure if the fits in "japan" do it to theirs or not but older honda cars has had them... but either way it was a choice I wanted to do and enjoy. plus with the retards driving out here in florida that seem to forget how to drive from time to time, lil extra blinking like the purpose of sidemarkers would get their attention to move out my way lol.

 

Older JDM Hondas came equipped with them from the factory, but they are not required in North America. Cars as new as 2006 had them as OE. I don't believe Jazz have them, IIRC Japan changed lighting laws to be more like North America, and they're not needed anymore.

I personally like them and think they are very useful on the freeways, it's always good to know if the guy two lanes over from you is planning on changing into the same lane you are, these help if you can't see the front or rear signals very well.

Also the signal lights on the axis taillights are hard to see, most of the time, invisible, from the side. So i agree with what ^^they said.

 

Well the sidemarkers should obviously come with the bulb and wiring, which would be a positive and negative (ground) to get power to the sidemarkers u would just have to find the power wire to the headlight turning signal and use one of these

And the negative u can ground it out to the body or where u chose to ground it at and that's it ! Some people wire it to the service lights (meaning when u flip the switch to service drive, they come on but don't blink when kicking in the turning signal) or just hook It up to the turning signal and only Turns on when u use the turning signal ( obviously) and that's it! So when u doing this ?

Just my taste. Didn't mean any offense. I also don't like the winker mirrors, but everyone else loves them. My taste is just less is more. The side markers are totally functional, I get that, and that makes them worth it. On a slightly related note, anyone else hate the GE tail lights? I have aftermarket but it's just the shape. They're HUGE and I hate how they jet up the side of the car. I guess they're that big so Honda can put those huge ugly reflectors in them, but I wish the tails were smaller... HA I know, who cares?

 

Hey as I stated before , everyone is entitled to an opinion, this is what forums are for, to discuss , express and share information that can help us visualize and modify anything and everything ! I honestly love everything about the car! But hey that's why I bought it but I understand ur dislike about the tails! I didn't mind them but got bored with the stock ones ! But now with these axis ones, I'm in love all over again

 

Yeah those Axis tails are gorgeous. I just have Depo double LED. They're fine. At least they don't have the big red reflector on the sides.
