I'm probably going to swap for a dual sport at some point. Maybe a KLR 650... I love the sound of the big thumpers!
When I think of big singles I like the sound of I have to go with the long stroke small bore BSA 441 and 500cc Victors... The 441 had the same bore and stroke of an 883 cc Harley Sportster and a much lighter flywheel. If the timing was advanced a little much it kicked back much more than a Sportster CH that people claimed was called a CH because when it kicked back you got a Charlie Horse, the Victor was much worse. Mine had a reverse cone megaphone with a snuffler plug for use when needed ans most of the time I was in first or second gear it could have been mistaken for an unicycle with a redundant front wheel... It was stolen along with a couple of Lightenings a Rocket 3, a Bonneville and Trophy... I guess I was pretty much into masochism back then to have owned that many British bikes at once but I really loved them even if things like carburetors and foot pegs vibrated loose... Surprisingly the twins were worse about doing that that the singles or triples... I thought about a KLR650 until I was talked into test riding a the GS1100R while in a shop in Lubbock getting parts for a R75-5 with a Velorex side car that I had picked up in 1994.... 3 days later I had 2 Beemers and acquired a K100RT a couple of years later... Occam you seriously need to ride a BMW, there is nothing like them.

360 degree crank rotation I guess - two pistons pumping in unison seems like it shake just as much as one.

And dude... stop telling me I need a GS1200R. I KNOW I need a GS1200R Adventure. But come on, a guy needs something to aspire to! And a $17,000 MSRP motorcycle ain't in the cards right now - there's no way I could afford that in the near without taking out a loan, and I don't take out loans on motorcycles. Once the Fit is paid off, I'll be debt free, and I want to stay that way for a while.

How fast will those things go? They look like they'd be fun to play around on (though I'd look ridiculous with my 180 lbs, 6'1 frame on there!
