do the steering wheel volume and channel buttons still work with aftermarket head units?

Depending on the headunit you need an adapter but yes they can still work.

Yea, what hxcadam said-- for this one, you would need to buy an adapter for the steering wheel functions to work with the head unit, it's possible.

On the road to bein' wannabe-vip! Overall more than satisfied with the new head unit, but I will definitely be getting a honda dash kit when possible; the fitment of the metra on the passenger side is too out of whack for me to not be bothered lol.

Doesn't look bad I will take a closer look at it tomorrow. And hit me up when you want the Nav panel I will get you a good deal.

Yea it isn't that bad-- the right side just doesn't sit flush with the upper glove compartment and I'm OCD haha. And thanks Erik! I'll let you know for sure

I'm similarly OCD. I've been putting off getting an aftermarket stereo because I want something that looks like it fits the car and isn't flashy. Looking at your pictures I'm wondering if that huge screen can be set to show nothing at all? It's one thing to have a huge screen, it's another to have one that looks like the surface of the sun at night or have a bunch of gawdy dancing graphics. Just a blank screen would be more than enough. Any idea?

Yea it can be set to have no image on it, it'll be black. I actually don't find it to be so huge and it's not crazy bright at all-- I haven't checked if the illumination is adjustable because I haven't need to

I just realized that a lot of my mods to my car are pretty much eBay/"fake". But oh well; full-time college student making do with what he's got haha. Got a year left before I graduate, maybe then she'll get a taste of some quality parts. Mugen rear on my to-get list this year though!

Thanks to Max aka Hobbaswaggle for the awesome shots!

I feel you on that man.
College student budget is hard.

I actually got that grille a while back.
It didn't flow with mine.
Looks way better on yours.

Just some last touch ups to finish off "the look" in order of priority: Mugen rear, sharkfin, retrofit, and Mugen front. Wish I could do it all at once but the wait is bittersweet Those are the main ones haha.

And I don't know, we'll see! I think I'm free. Don't know if I should raise my car up a bit for it hahaha

Agree with Wais.
I have some legit parts and some ebay parts lol.
Mugen Parts Tend to take longer to get for me, since they are an arm and a leg. LOL
