I see you got a K24Z3, what CPU did you go with?

It’s a z7 I am pairing it with a tsx ecu.

 

Oh the parts engine must be the Z3 then.

That's what I've read as the go to ECU.

 

Oh yea! Donor engine is a z3– I was missing the fuel injection system and a few brackets here and there and found it for cheap.

Yes, best ecu to do the swap and get all the functions like the AC and what not!

What transmission are you putting in?

 

Still planned for it to be a daily so I wanted all the creature comforts and no lights on the dash haha. And for sure!

I have a 09-14 tsx transmission that I got from another Fit buddy. Would want the Si trans with lsd but they’re pricey; figured the TSX would give it a smoother feel with the longer ratios for a daily so I’m not mad haha, maybe one day swap it out to the si if it becomes more of a track car.

 

Yeah, great swap for that. I want that extra gear in mine so bad, a tsx trans seems like a good choice for sure.

 

12-15 civic si transmission is also 6-speed! I’ll likely try to swap out down the line if I ever catch a deal haha.

 

Right, but like you said pricey. I find myself going from 5th to nothing all the time on the interstate and I've had mine 15 years so it REALLY needs a K swap lol

Side quest #2 haha; some jdm headlights to modify to fit. Don’t have time or budget to retrofit so they’ll go in for now as is with some polish. There’s some spider cracks on the ends toward the fenders from age— not as noticeable and I bought them used so can’t complain. Isn’t going on a show car anyway but down the line will get replacement lenses and likely retrofit while I’m at it.

 

JDM headlights are in! Still need to fine tune the fitment and work on the turn signal wiring; but with my previous rewiring I swapped the turn signals and parking lights so I currently do have turn signals with no parking lights with my setup. I’ll get to it eventually haha, glad I got used headlights with all the sockets and enough wiring to solder, should be an easy fix.

 

Liked how the lighting was yesterday so I snapped a couple photos from the real camera. Few other things I’ve been considering:

• Remove 10+ year old roof vinyl wrap or just rewrap over it
• New bumper since my sister got in a little fender bender with it when she had it
• Repair the holes I made from the quick release bumper I did
• Redo the tint— bought it used and the previous owner used cheaper quality tint in the rear and it’s bubbling up
• Change the rear spoiler/wing
• New wrap

Nothing absolutely critical though, mostly aesthetics. K swap is incoming though! I think we’ll have it done before the end of this year for sure!
