Thumbs up My hand controls are done FINALLY!!!

So guys I got the call yesterday that my call that my cars install of hand controls was finally completed. I drove 70mi to the small town where it was and drove home. Some things I noticed. Compared to me TL the steering is so direct, quick and light. The car was as quiet as the TL to ME (I have 2013.5). Im impressed. One question. How do I reset the MPG average?

Fun car,

I'm also curious to see the hand controls. It sounds like they're working out nicely for you, which is great.

I do want to clarify a bit of what xxryu wrote: hold down the button for a couple of seconds while viewing the trip odometer screen. The average MPG is tied into the trip odometer (i.e. it measures the milage over the distance measured).

It must only do it while not running huh? I'll post pix tomorrow. I may record video if one of the neighbors are around.

It should reset the stuff even if the engine is running.

Tap the button to get to the trip odometer page (there are four it cycles through: odometer --> trip odometer --> average milage --> oil life), and then press and hold the button for a couple of seconds. The trip milage will reset to zero, and that also resets the average milage. If you tap the button to get to the milage display, it'll show dashes instead of a number until the car has moved a little.

The owner's manual has all the details, as one would expect.

Congrats on the hand controls!

I am curious about your cargo light LED conversion. Did you install an on-off switch for it? I ask because the low current demands of a LED might make that moot.
