WTB: 2009 OEM key

Just wondering if i can get a 2009 OEM key, do I have to get this from the dealer only?

i just purchased a 2009 fit sport and only received 1 key with it.

x2 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

you normally always get two keys when you buy a new car. i would hate the thought of someone else having the other key. some rogue employee could go and look up where you live and steal your car.

It should be in the owner's manual! Which you don't have.

Bring your title to prove that you legally own the car to the dealership-- they will be able to look it up by the VIN, I believe.
Good luck!

take ur car to the service department at ur nearest honda dealership...they need the VIN number to cut the key and they need ur car to program it to the car....ur looking at about $80-$100 for one key.

Look at spending at least $150 for the key. Because not only do they have to program the key to work with your ignition, they have to program it to remote unlock your doors and what-not.

So go in planning on spending that much just to be safe.

You can find a key on eBay Motors, but the dealer will have to cut and code it to your car.
