Professionally retrofitted GE8 headlights...testing the waters

I have a set of GE8 headlights outfitted with Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (D2S), 6,000k bulbs HID, and Bullet shrouds. (Obviously I'll include all the ballasts and wiring as well.) These will fit all models from 2009-2012 base or sport.

If you want to run HID's right, without blinding others or having the light scatter everywhere so that you really can't see any better, these are the way to go! I originally did these myself and ran them for 100ish miles before I decided to have them redone professionally. I sent the projectors to BlueBoogers who works at The Retrofit Source and does these professionally. I also sent him 2 previously unopened OEM headlights to redo these. He has gone the extra mile to ensure these are done right and triple sealed them to ensure they don't leak. They are also painted to match the 2012 OEM style with extra care taken to outline the upper bulb area in chrome. One thing to note: the painters tape took off a tiny strip of the chrome OEM paint around the top of the upper bulb area (not the actual place where the bulb sits), and as such they have a small strip of chrome vinyl covering that. However, even upon close inspection one can't tell, as it blends perfectly. (Just want to be honest upfront)

Here is the pic that BlueBoogers sent me. I'll have more pics once they arrive back at my house.

If you want to see them on the car they are the same as Vanct's except I left the upper bulb area chrome, and the shrouds are slightly different: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...cts-ge8-6.html

(Updated Pictures Below)

They look great, but I've decided to get coilovers instead and am thinking of selling these if I can get a fair price.

Make me an offer, but please consider that to do these the same way it would cost:

$300 (projectors)
+
$20 (extra sealant)
+
$200-300 (unopened OEM headlights)
+
$300-600 (professional retrofitting services)
+
$100-150 (shipping back and forth)

=$920-$1,370

You can also sell your old headlights once these are installed to recover some of the cost of these great headlights. I'll be at ECHM June 30th if you want to save on shipping costs.

New Pictures

I lied. They have bullet shrouds not gattlings, but they still look amazing!

Picture of previous retrofit so you can see them lit up:

I do too. I'm looking for less than the cost of someone else going through this process.

Dude those so legit that u should keep them! Just save up for coils. Projectors are one of the best investment hands down for non projected cars

I would but I'm more concerned about the car's looks. Just doesn't fit my style anymore...

damn! if i knew my projector retrofitted headlights were worth $1000 + stock headlight trade, I would have made this my part time job.

GLWS, i can't ever imagine driving with halogens since the retro.

Folks I'm only looking for around $875 shipped. Not a bad deal at all. Plus you can sell your headlights after install so it comes out to around $600-700.

You gonna be at ECHM? I am in the market and a couple options have popped up, would really prefer to see then in person before making that kind of investment.

Unfortunately not. My 70 per week summer work schedule didn't allow time for an alignment after my coils. Tires > ECHM

However, I'll be happy to take pics of whatever you need or answer any questions before purchase. Heck, you could even drive through Bmore on your way there or back and look at them.
