Searched the F/S forum, only threads are all old. I'm assuming the only brand for our car is Yakima (if you have a Thule roof rack for our car I'm interested in that too).

I have everything aside from the actual bike part I think... #ricelife I only use it for looks. lol I am actually taking it off soon. if you're interested. its yakima

 

Also have a Yakima rack that has everything you need minus the clips. You can get them on eBay for 11 bucks a pair.

 

It is not true about Thule not having a kit for the GE 8- we just bought one from REI

 

I have a rack off the car made by yakima was on my fit. I have the wind faring as well.

I was just showing you the setup I have and the Fit Kit you need. You can buy any Thule Base rack off of craigslist with "Traverse" Foot Pack and get the Fit Kit to put it on our cars. After that you can put any Thule Bike rack or basket or snowboard rack or cargo box. The most important part is getting the Fit Kit that's made for our cars.

 

Here are a few examples of the thule rack. You can pretty much haul what you want on racks within the weight limit.
