I believe the cover will not close properly with a full size spare in there.

It is going to be tough just buying one wheel. Usually those who are selling are selling all 4 and won't break up a set.

Also a stock wheel in the spare wheel well will not close properly or be able to be secured down properly. Spares (donuts) are much easier to find.

 

I know. I need it to be kept in the garage in case I have a flat. I depend on the car a lot and may not have time to deal with repairs in time. So I would just put a spare on and fix or replace the damaged tire as time permits, possibly only on the weekend. My type of driving is not safe to be done on a spare, not to mention I would not put a spare on the front for any extended driving... heard it can damage the transmission as the wheel is smaller in diameter.

I think singles can be pulled off of the wrecked cars (rims often get damaged in collisions).

 

Bought one off ebay for 65$. Mounted Hankook ventus v2 concept 2 on it.
