tire size? and what fender mod did you have to do? I'm running the same wheel size but planning on going lower, and want to know what to expect.

I've been running 205/45's the last few sets. the rears i rolled with a roller til the pinch welds started to show, (i ran a more aggressive size before) and the fronts i grinded down so there was no lip for the tread to catch on. alot of trial and error, camber bolts, and i've fixed and painted the fenders somewhere along the way from the "error" part of the trials. lol.

Sorry 90DGRZ a few questions:

1) Why roll the rears? Did you have spacers? The reason I ask is most people say there is no need.

2) If you had to do the fitment over again what would you do in regards to rolling/camber? I ask because I currently am running +40 on Swifts w/o any fender or camber mods. I get rubbing in the front on hard turns and huge bumps and squeaks from all over on moderate bumps.

Thanks for the info. Do you know what your front camber is set at?

no prob! I eyeballed my front toe and camber with wood and string since I can't get it onto racks. I just know both sides are even, my wheels are straight and the car tracks straight lol. I've bascially given it as much camber as those bolts allowed, supposedly about -2 degrees.

I'd do it just how I have it now, although it took a while to get it just right. My car finally doesn't rub or anything with the height it's at now. But being on springs you shoukd be alright...maybe see where its rubbing up front (fender or plastic fender lining) and adjust, cut, roll accordingly.

Volk didn't make a 16x7 +35 TE37....and why does it look like your lug holes align with the spokes? You trying to pass off reps as the real thing?

I dont see where he ever claimed that they were volks or te37's..... all he said was my WHEELS are blah blah blah. It doesnt even look like he has the stickers on his wheels....
Did you ever consider that maybe since volk does not make a te37 the size he was looking for, that he turned to offbrand companies who could supply the wheel in the style and size that he wanted?

You really are digging pretty deep on this one

90dgrz's fit is super clean and if he didn't use name brand wheels its not going to upset some law of the universe, its not going to put him in danger (9 times out of 10), and its not going to make a bit of difference to anyone but wheel elitists!

Now, if you spot someone in the FS section trying to sell offbrand as legit, then there is a good4 reason to go all wheel nazi.

It does pretty obviously have decals.

They do offer VERY similar fitment, as in +33, only 2mm difference.

He has never corrected anyone calling them Volks, etc.

A question I have been trying to answer myself. Maybe it's just that running thinner tires causes more of a harsh ride, but it's not rubbing and it's not just the front. I'm trying to decide if it's just normal road noise or something to correct.
