Hawk Brake Pads

Hawk Brake Pads
Hi Fitfreaks. I apologize that I haven't posted this sooner, as I've had this info since April. I just wanted to pass along what I know about using Hawk brake pads on our GE's.
The part number you want is:
(HPS) HB418F.646
or
(HP+) HB418N.646
This pad fits perfectly. It is actually the pad for a 2004 Acura RSX (base model - NOT the Type S)
Only one small modification needed: you need a very good drill bit to drill a hole for the spring pins, as this pad does not have the hole. I spoke with a Hawk bigwig at Mid-Ohio back in April and informed him of this, and advised they could add the Fit to their product line-up if they just added that hole to these pads. I haven't seen any updates to their website, and I was thinking about following up on this in the near future.

Great info. I have been using Hawk HP+ (HB418N.646) on my 2009 GE8 for the past 8,000 miles no problems whatsoever. Tirerack actually lists the same two part numbers as you have for the 2007 and 2008 Honda Fits only, but i bit the bullet anyway and found out that they fit GEs fine, too. (i skipped the drilling the hole step that you mentioned above and just left that one bracket piece off--no problems). I was careful to transfer all of the other metal shields/clips/springs from the orig pads plus a slathering of supplied grease and haven't had a squeek or rattle since day one.

Evening everybody, does anybody know by experience the correct part no. for EBC GREENSTUFF 2011 FIT PADS? I get a DP2891 for approx.$91, and DP22041,for$68 which is considered for now, a special order, less expensive, for reasons unknown. Then i noticed the DP 2891 are for up to 2008.It doesn't sound right the supposedly newer pads are about $30 dollars less, unless they are not really greenstuff,, but OEM. thanks,,JJ
