Arrow lowered ge8's get in here!!! please :)

hello fellow fitfreaks. I lowered my '12 yesterday on eibach sportlines. I thought having the axle popping out was going to be my main concern but i guess not...

my ABS and VSA light are on

Ive done a search and it seems there are a handful of threads with people who have/had the same problem; however, all of those threads have loose ends. No one posted their solutions to the problem.

If anyone has had that problem can you please chime in

Bringing it to the dealer is my last resort but if im left with no choice then i will. So please dont suggest that first thanks all!!! happy superbowl weeekend

Perhaps you stretched the harness or something when you lowered it?

Well that's weird , I would try to disconnect the battery and reset it to see if that does the job, and if they come on again then you would have to see what u did to make those go on ! I don't have the vsa since ingot the sport without navi and my abs never went on when I lowered mine so I wouldn't know why that then on !

Funny...same thing happened to me a few days ago when I put my coils on. TC light is on and it seems it's disabled, and I have an ABS light. Everything was connected correctly, so I wasn't sure where the warning lights came from.

My ABS light came on a few days after lowering it. So I took it to the dealer not mentioning about the drop, they found one of the sensor failed and replaced it under warranty.

must not of been a very noticable drop if the dealer didn't even catch it.

Or the dealer knows of the supreme court ruling telling them they have to prove an aftermarket part caused a part failure under warranty. The sensor should not be effected by a drop just like the exhaust would have no effect on it.

Has anyone tried just disconnecting the battery to see if the code will clear?
There has to be more people with info on this, I don't want to run into issues when I lower my 2012 >.>

Guy at my garage dropped the rear too quick before I told him to disconnect the APS sensors. So the wire on one was stretched enough to break it. Next time at dealer they replaced under wty. And yes they did see the springs.

That didn't work for me. But when you do lower it, make sure you don't drop the rear axle any further than it needs to remove the spring/strut!

No luck at the dealership! I
they want $270 to replace it. It was definitley the stretched out cable. Might try my luck at another dealer or attempt it myself

And if no dice, see how much the part is on bernardiparts.com. Maybe you can do it.

The light will go out the next time you start your car and the system is working. Since I don't use TPMS sensors I have to disconect the ABS pump conector to turn off my traction control when I need it of (not often with better tires) and the lights go out once I reconect it (I always connect it or disconect it with the car off)

i found the part for $85. the dealer was charging $120. It doesn't seem hard to replace. Sucks because it comes as one assembly. My sensor if fine which sucks because its like a waste of money. I'm going to find where the wire broke and just splice a new wire in. Theoretically it should work But if not, then $85 it is!
