Progress RSB fit 2012?

Hi i was wondering if anyone has fit a progress RSB in a 2012?

the manufacturer's website says 09-11 but i did not think there was any difference to 2012

Anti-roll bars Honda Fit 09-11 Honda Fit Rear anti-roll bar Progress Technology: Anti-roll bars, sport springs, coil-overs, camber kits and more since 1995!

I also sent a email to them, but seeing if i can get a quicker answer here.

thanks

I will have my Progress bar installed in a couple of days on my 2012 sport

I talked to Progress when I ordered it and there is no fitment issue with the 2012

same as 09 and up.There was a issue with the CRZ bar and the GE fit but they changed the part number because the CRZ bar had fitment issues on the Fit. Just make sure to order Part #: 62.1061 and you are good to go.

Put the '09-11 Progress RSB on my base '12 fit the month I bought it. Works great! Fits perfectly.

DO NOT follow the directions which say to monkey around with the shock. Nothing needs to be removed. Just jack up the car and bolt it on (despite what the directions say).

Took less than an hour. Including the time to jack the car up.

Yep. It can be done without removing the spring, but it's a hell of a lot more difficult with the car on the ground.

Has anyone installed one of these with the stock suspension and stock springs? I'm thinking about one of these, but don't want to lower the car. Would it make a noticeable difference in handling and stability with everything else stock?

Not so sure it helped understeer as much as rotation during turn in under light braking. Watch out for heavy braking while turning. Fits do spin out.

dustin- get tires first. the weakest link imho on the Fit when it comes to handling, is the tires.

I did the rsb along with the Swifts and tires at the same time so I can not say for sure

but I think even with stock suspension you will benefit from the rsb. When I pushed my car to the absolute limit the tires were the first thing that needed upgrading

after that you will see even more body roll untill you do the springs and then like magic this little baby transforms.

If you do not plan to lower go with a good summer tire or all season and add the rsb
and you will be set.

I agree with the above replies, but I have had a longer relationship with Progress RSB's than anyone on the forums. I bought the very FIRST Progress bar for the GD3 Fits, and bought the very FIRST RSB for the GE8 Fits.

Regardless of whatever else you do to improve your Fit, start with the RSB. Use up all the tread life your present tires have to give and study the tire info. on the forums to decide what improved brand and size to buy when they are needed. For extra performance, consider lighter wheels if you have the budget. If you stay at stock height, your handling will be significantly improved with the RSB and better tires when needed.

That is what I'm thinking. I'm definitely planning on upgrading to 205/50/16 tires once the stock Dunlops are worn out. It does sound like the RSB would make a difference even at stock ride height from you guys comments.

The idea of replacing the stock wheels has crossed my mind, but honestly I haven't seen any wheels that I like the look of better than stock (I know, personal preference) and just can't justify replacing them with something I don't like the looks of to possibly shave off a few pounds. The Fit is my daily driver and enjoyable to take the occasional winding back road and push it a little bit, but I'm not looking for maximum performance. Thanks guys.

I am doing the progress RSB and koni rear shocks next month. I am also letting my Dunlop tires wear out before replacing i have had my 12 Fit Sport for a little less then 4 months but just about up to 10k since my purchase. I figure stock tires will have maybe 30k life so next year I will need new tires doing the same thing 205/50/16 Continental ExtremeContact DWS.

I've pretty much narrowed it down to those DWS tires or Kumho Ecsta 4X's. I'm leaning a little more toward the Kumho's because I've seen a couple of posts about getting a little better gas mileage with those where most people say that gas mileage either stays the same or drops a little with the DWS's in the 205/50/16 size for both. Everything I've read seems to indicate that the two are pretty comparable in most aspects other than that.

They look pretty much the same in the surveys on Tirerack. Usually it comes down to when I buy if Continentals has a rebate or sale at the time I need them. The spread between the two is about $100 and about 10k more miles with the warranty for the Continentals.
