Aftermarket Suspension?
mahout, why would you recommend front toe-in for the understeering fit? btw, rear alignment is not factory adjustable
we find that toe-out, typically for FWD nose heavy vehicles, like the Fit, just scrubs in corners. and especially when compared to Fit with front ASB disconnected or added rear ASB. It could be there is enough compliance in the front suspension to back toein to neutral or even a little toe out. it ain't no porsche. one mm, 0.040", isn't much toe in.
do we have lots of data? not really, just the a/x results and race laps on successful cars.
as for rear suspension, we set camber and toe with shims on the hub back plate. its time consuming but when necessary we do it. I wonder if the racing bottom feeder class does anything. but even then the mazda 2 chassis appears so superior it wouldn't matter.
you have different results?
there's lots of vehicle detail prep tbat isn't noticed by the specs. yes, many require no changes from OEM but they have almost no chance of being detected. talk to some competitors in showroom stock racers in private. no body is really OEM stock from suspensuon to chassis to 'freshened' engines..
