wheel spacers

I'm interested in getting wheel spacers on the rear axle of my Fit. My plan to to get the stock wheels flush with the fenders after lowering. I'm thinking of either 17 or 20mm.

Anyhow, does anyone know the thread pitch of the stock Fit lugnuts? I will need to get longer wheel studs so it would be helpful to know which thread pitch to get.

Thanks!

A

I would not recommend spacer but adapter. Please see link below.

Thanks for the link. I think the difference is semantic. Can anyone confirm that 12x1.5 is the correct thread pitch?

Is 25mm too big for stock 16" rims?

^ You need to change to an extended lugs, safest spacer you can run is 5mm the most on stock lugs IMO..

Smile Spaced Out

One of the things I've noticed is the wheel placment in the inner fender, it looks too far in. So I did some research and it was 50/50 the biggest fact was use a bolt on spacer and not a slide on over the studs. Retorque the lugnut (i'm going with 90 ft/lbs not 80) after driving for 2 days. MzFiT is gettin 25mm out back and 15mm up front, the wide track look. Ichiba has the best product with the V2 and I got all 4 corners for 240.00 shipped. If it puts the tires out to the fenders it'll do what i'm look'n 4 and save the price of new rims$. So when i do this i'll post before, during and after pix and see if it helps or hurts the handeling?................

run bolt-on spacers, they are easier to install than the ones with longer studs
i have 10mm bolt-on spacers on my rear and it doesn't seem flush yet, i think 10mm up front and 20mm rear will make the stock rims perfect

So, there is little risk of running a 7-10mm bolt-on spacer (not the adapter type) with the stock rear studs? Just want to confirm that since there are quite a few differing opinions on the matter.

If it is my car, I would not run > 5mm spacers unless I have a special long lug nuts. IMHO, wheel adapters are the way to go.
