Anyone run 14s on a GE8?

I looked at the Konig Traffiks I have now which are 15 x 6.5s and they fit fine with what APPEARS to be plenty of room. I dont imagine 14s would make that big of a deal so far as that goes.

Got a lead on some ARE Classic mesh wheels! 14s.....

I guess it would depend on spoke design, offset, and backspacing. Around Five and a quarter inches of backspacing is a good place to start.

Me too. Before I even clicked, I had visions of someone with an intake and exhaust stepping in and saying they pull on chipped GTIs. Disappointed.

They will look tiny, you're going to have to go a lot lower than 2" or have a ridiculous amount of sidewall to fill the gap. Either way you do it I don't think it'll look good. On a GD yes, on a GE, no.

While we got 13" steelies and 14" alloys on our GDs, even we don't have 14s on our GEs here in the Philippines. The GE6s get 15s stock.

Just to give you an idea - these were the stock 14" wheels on my GD:

On the GE's larger wheel wells 14s would look really small.

Yes, 14's from an Integra. There was a story as to why he used them but I forget what it was. I think it was out of necessity not out of choice.

Hmm, well if you were running R comps and REALLY concerned on weight... MAYBE 14's would be worth it, at least in the AutoX world
