Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport
2013 red FIT Sport 5spd manual in need of new shoes.
First: thank you all for the great discussions on tire options. I've benefitted from your expertise and dedication to discuss all things FIT.
Second: after reading your experiences and comments on tires good and bad for the FIT, I've chosen the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport 205/50R16 set on the stock alloy Sport wheels. With 3/32 remaining at all four corners of the original Dunlop SP Sport 7000 A/S at 27k miles, and no snow or ice here on Maui-- unless you summit Haleakala on the rare winter day to 10k-- I've decided to try my first ever full-on Performance Summer tire, ever, on any vehicle I've owned. My other cars have been Subaru and currently a Honda Element.
It'll be a few weeks before they arrive on island and get installed. I'll be back, hopefully, with some road impressions. Top speed limit here is 55mph, but there are some nice twisties and always the chance of going from semi-hot (83 to 85F) and dry on one side of the island to cool, wet and Spring-like conditions on another side, or up to 4,000 feet altitude on the flank of Haleakala.
Thanks, for all the talk about all those different tires to help all of us make this tough decision.
Aloha,
James

Welcome to the forum James
I run this tire on my 350z and plan on running it on my GE8 in the same size that you are
Currently this Bridgestone has a deal with $70 cash back until the end of the month through Tire Rack

COSTCO installed the tires no problem. $430 total after $70 instant rebate. My first time going with performance summer shoes. The original tires were Dunlop sport 7000 a/s 185/55R16 that were at the wear bars (3/32) at all four corners after 22months and 27k miles. I like them at first drive, but I'm not savvy about performance tires. They seem easy/quick to steer and seem to have less tracking wiggle at speed in the crossing trade winds than the original Dunlops. We will see if the 36mpg suffers. I don't expect this tire to last any longer or farther than the Dunlop. Here's some pics after a drive and a bit of dirt.
