CVT RPM Drop at WOT

In all of my runs, I notice that when I accelerate at full throttle, the CVT will climb to 6600rpm like it should. When I continue to accelerate, the rpm will slowly drop off until it stops around 6000rpm (Depending on how long I continue to accelerate).

The Fit's max horsepower is at 6600rpm. Why does the CVT rpms drop to 6000rpm? Is there anything I can do to prevent this and to keep the rpm up at 6600rpm during full acceleration runs?

I'm specifically asking in this forum as there may be a fix, repair or modification that can be performed to accomplish what I'm looking for. I have not been able to find it yet.

BTW: The timing advance hold steady at 15.5 and the throttle position stays at 78% during all accelerations tests at wide open throttle (when the rpm drops occur).

Old post but does anyone see this trait on their CVT when they accelerate at full speed? I want to be sure it's not just my car that does this.

You can see my rpms drop down from 6500 to 6000-6200rpm on all my runs here.

This guys rpm never drops and he keeps accelerating.
