Unfortunately the past two generations of fits in the US of A got shafted with this ecu since the JDM version isn't interchangeable.
However I is nice to see a company is finally starting to take advantage of tuning the direct injection.

Thanks Kyler! On the positive side, it seems there have been a few things on the JDM Fits and USDM Fits that are plug-n-play. If the plugs are the same, the engine and the ECU relatively the same, perhaps simply unplugging the stock ECU and plugging in a reflashed JDM ecu is an option. I'm game! I responded to your PM. Let me know either way, I'm game to test. Thanks Kyler!

That idea sounds simple enough but I know with the gd3 there were some problems when someone tried to use a jazz ecu back in the day. IIRC the ecu needs to have the matching gauge cluster and key for it disable the immobilizer. I am just waiting on a phone call for some answers.

I don't quite see what the gauge cluster's role in this situation other than telling what the engine is actually doing but there iS a way to bypass the immoblizer and get the car to start while using its factory PCM.

I just remember Chatting with Jpax and hasport's Brian about needing the gauge cluster when using the stock ecu. This is back when they just did the first k swap fit (jpax) so perhaps there is a way around that now that I'm unaware of.

I'm already trying to get my hands on this unit. Need one for the USDM CVT NOW. Come on J's....work with us. :-)
I've already emailed them days ago. J's Racing USA is working with J's Japan to see what they can do for us. You manual guys maybe the first lucky ones to test. We can hope right?
In other words, I'm cool with sending them an ECU to reflash. Don't see why they couldn't with a little work. Either through J's Racing USA or someone else.

After trying to contact J's Racing Japan through several different methods, here was their response to a question I asked them on their Facebook page.
It's not the end of the world but that was their response to me. And no, I don't 'understand the situation'. Haha! It is what it is though.

Now we don't have any plan to make USDM one.

Perhaps someone would pay for a reflash to get better fuel economy. They even mention better economy with the reflash on their website.

I'm going to start trying to be active in foreign Honda Fit/Jazz forums as far as modifications go and get what I can from there. The market for modifications may be much livelier in Japan, China, etc.

They do VOLK or RAYS wheels, Endless BBkits, race seats, gauges, suspension, Next Miracle X bars, shifters, carbon fibre hoods and fenders, final gear fixes, turbos- hell even full K20 swaps withought even thinking about it!
In Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore, if you buy a Jazz, you gotta tune- it's that simple!
