so, a custom made mid pipe .... you'd say may perform just as well as the j's racing b pipe?

Yes! And that's not saying a lot. I'd say you wouldn't/shouldn't change out the mid pipe at all. It may not be worth it for 99% of the people here. Biggest bang for the buck is changing out the stock muffler for a straight-through flowing one and if you really want to change something else, a freer flowing cat converter.

Changing the mid-pipe I could see no significant difference in my 1/4 mile times. It was small.

I just bought a HKS Hi Power (carbon tip) for my 19 sport and mated that to a 2inch resonator delete midpipe and now I have lost power. It sounds cool but, where did I go wrong?

should I have just done the resonator delete alone?

should I have a mid pipe from j’s or Spoon?

and what diameter is stock again so I can do a res delete on stock pipe.

You should have kept the OEM mid pipe. Put your resonator back in and the car will drive just fine because you actually need some back pressure on smaller engines. You can't just sraight pipe cars and gain usable HP.

high flow cat stock b pipe no muffler and you'll be good.

Did you tune the car after.....?
If not, there's probably the problem.... Mods like this will probably require a tune...

I ended up going to a 1.75in pipe. That fixed the problem and still sounds good.
