Correct me if I'm wrong (and I hope I'm wrong ).
No, at least not in my case after 1.5yrs of modifying this car. I suggest sticking with your feelings though and don't modify your car.

Haha, like I said, I hope I'm wrong. I know it is something that people complained about with the GE (dyno shows HP gain after installing something; come back to the dyno 2 weeks later, and you're back to stock HP).

I don't know if the GK is the same way, but it sounds like perhaps not.

I am just one person though. Stick with what has been shown as true from the forum folks. They know best! Just sharing my experience.

I installed my HPS CAI (as a short ram) last Sunday. Initial thoughts after driving for a few days are that there's a hair more midrange, down low its still ridiculously slow, and I don't notice anything up at 6k RPM. Here's a pic. I'm going to switch to CAI after my first oil change.

I just installed a Weapon R CAI, but haven't driven it other than to take my wife to dinner (so no hooning!). There's a pic in my mod thread.

Just got my hps cai, engine sound deep and loud at wot. Normal driving is quiet like stock. Car feels faster at 3k plus rpm.

I've had the CAI from HPS on my car for over 6 mos now and can say it def makes a difference throughout the rev range... I also only run 93 oct in my car. No issues whatsoever. During/after hurricane Irma, i switched to Short ram and felt a noticeable drop in power. Its also stupid HOT in FL. For the money, its worth it. I have a full exhaust so i don't hear much intake noise. That is mostly also due to the plastic intake manifold.

It's a nice looking intake. I made and tested a homemade intake with piping and a filter setup just like that. It was the only intake I made that was slower than stock. No gains low, mid and high. It sucked in so much heat from the transmission/engine/firewall area there.

On the plus side, the car did sound more enthusiastic. And again, yours look nice.
