I installed the AEM intake and after reading about the limited air and heat intake I figure I come up with some kind of redtech version too add fresh air to the intake area. I figure the add-on should be on the creative cheap and under the radar add-on. I already have most of what I am planning to use, but there are some other items I am experimenting with and will post as I go. As a tease I will start with one photo. I wonder if anyone will figure how I am going to use the first item photo?.

 

Found this 3" PVC hose at an industrial supplier $3.50/ft. Once heated it is very malleable. Lets see hpw this part of the project goes?

 

Jegs and summit and others sell that style hose as well, its a silicone high temp hose..
I use it for brake ducts to the front wheels.

 

Actually its PVC. Easy to mold once heated.

 

Ah interesting, the silicone stuff is tough but not "moldable"..

 

u need to be careful, i dont think those items are heat-rated to withstand being inside your engine bay..

 

You are correct and aware of that, but they will not make it into the main engine bay. They will be positioned to take advantage of incoming fresh air and deliver into the engine bay. Plus for the green PVC I have to set my heat gun to high and work it for a couple of minutes to be moldable.

Nice thing about the PVC is that it is very moldable once Heated.

Holy Mother of Frankenstein! What a difference! At first no air movement, but when you move, you can hear the intake (sucking hiss) now, when before you did not. And then the added HP when pressing on the peddle.

Smoother and much more power Grab.

Only Darn That I have! When moving the bumper the right side of the grill is not snapping on correctly and it is out of alignment. I can finesse it later. Yes the bumper is a piece of crap.
