Fit gk oil catch can install

Installed my Simota catch can.

Some tips:
Buy new clamps. I used 5/8" spring clamps instead of the band clamps included with the can. A band clamp will not fit at the intake.

Buy new hose. I bought Gates 3/8" id pcv hose. Looks much better than the blue hose that came with the can.

I mounted the can on the tranny mount.
I would recommend buying a small can and mount next to the windshield washer reservoir for you cvt and stock airbox owners.
Also, I did not disconnect the stock pcv hose at the block. It is behind the starter and is very hard to get to. I did not want to deal with it so I spliced the stock hose to my Gates hose using a vacuum connector. If you mount your can close enough, you can connect the stock hose to your can. Hopefully someone can figure out a way to get to the stock clamp at the block.

I'm not expecting to catch much but we'll see what we get after a month.

Thanks for posting up about this very cool modification. I think you may be moderately surprised at how much oil is captured in that can. If so, it will definitely be a worthwhile investment.

Thanks for the pics as well.

**Nice intake btw. ***

Hps cold air intake. Runs down right behind the fog light opening. I have manual so space is not an issue.

...sigh photobucket...

since the photos are gone, and i'm curious about how much oil our cars cycle back into intake: could some one in this thread post an update on the average amount of oil found in the catch can between oil changes? (and how many miles you go between said changes).

Would you happen to have pics that you can re-post? I've been thinking about doing this mod since I bought my car last year and am curious to know if it's worthwhile.

Thanks!

EDIT: Darn. I just noticed he hasn't been on this site since October of last year.
