Today I installed a HPS short ram intake on my 13. Love it and the install went fast but after much struggle i could only get the vacuum hose about 3/8" on both the intake and metal connector. Is there some kind of lube I can use on either the female or male part so I can get further in there? Should I warm it up first?
Sorry if there is a thread about this, I looked for a bit but I'm kind of pressed for time lately and I'm nervous about driving it without deeper hose penetration.

 

I found an answer elsewhere and I'm posting in hopes that if this advice is wrong someone will correct me. If it isn't wrong it's a good tip because it works great.
Rubbing alcohol on the male connection helps the hose slip on. I like this because it evaporates and I was worried about an oil reacting with the hose.
