Reason: Different question
I wrapped mine with a vinyl wrap! Not a permanent fix, but it works! Look up "chrome deletes" online, people typically do black, but hey, all colors work. It's extremely tedious, but no need to remove the emblem
I have painted my emblem black recently. I will guide you.
First, you must remove the grille. In my 2019 the grille style is different. You may or may not need to remove the bumper to remove the grille.
Once the grille is off you will see the back side of them emblem. On the back side there is little metal rings that are capturing a plastic stud which is part of the emblem.
If you are extremely careful you might be able to pry the metal ring off the stud without braking the stud. I was not so lucky, however. I did break the studs in the process of removing the ring. As a result, I recovered the broken pieces of the stud and superglued it back together after removing the emblem. This will require you to sand it smooth once the glue is tried. When sanding, be gentle as to not break the stud once again. Once the emblem is painted and studs are repaired you can then replace it as normal.
