3rd Gen GK Specific Fit Exterior Modifications & JDM Styling Sub-ForumThreads discussing exterior modifications and JDM styling for the 3rd Gen GK Honda Fit
yeah, I’m gonna hold off until I find the correct size for the front. I don’t want to order the rear until I know I’ve got the front covered.
Last week I picked up a 2019 Fit Sport in Platinum Pearl White.
I think some of those red JDM emblems would look awesome on the car and I am obsessed with buying a set (front, rear, and steering wheel). Has anyone "broken the code" on the huge 145mm X 120mm front emblem?
So I just got off the phone with ICB Motorsports in Chandler AZ...
As others here have alluded to, the rear emblem for all GK Fits is the same. I believe it is ~92mm by ~75mm. I didn't ask for the part number but the link is here.
And again as others here have said, the front emblem for 2018-2019 Fits, at ~145mm by ~120mm, is evidently the biggest H emblem in the world. The dude at ICB says he believes they will have some of these gigantic emblems in stock "in about a week".
He further said that the front emblem shown here on their website IS NOT the correct size for the 2018-2019 Fits, even though the emblem description says "...for your 2015-2017 and 2018 GK Fit". I will be giving these guys a call back in a week and we'll see what they've got.
Did they confirm the unavailability for Honda Sensing?
The reason I say this is because the emblem/radar assembly is one piece. If you look closely you'll notice it's not really an emblem at all, it's kind of a plexiglass cover that has an H emblem behind it and the radar assembly.
From Honda Estore for my 2018 Fit EX-L:
Emblem, Fr. (H)(Radar)
Part Number: 75710-T5A-J61Mfg. Origin: 'MEX'
Emission Types:
KA - US - 49 State Spec
Retail price: $414.23
And I assume you don't want to stick an object directly in front of the radar. Maybe it has a dead zone and would be okay? I mean you could try it by just temporarily taping something over the front of your existing emblem.
it's actually not one piece. if you remove the bumper, the logo is on the grill, the actual radar unit is on the radiator mount.
So, potentially we could separate the emblem from the front of the radar "base" and replace it with a red one? My logo isn't connected to the grill from what i can tell. The grill wraps around the emblem/logo. It would make sense that in the end you could separate it from the radar unit though. On my parts diagram there just isn't separate parts. They're probably just glued together.
I'm not taking the plunge though, lol. $419 is too risky.
exactly how i feel. if u open up your hood and remove the radiator cover. u can see the two top pins holding in the logo. i think that may be the difference, the area behind the logo is hollow, as opposed to regular logos with a back plate to attach to.
FWIW I finally got around to replacing the front emblem on my 2019 Fit Sport and thought I would share what I know about the "right" red H emblems for different year GK Fits.
The rear emblem is easy. All GK's use the same size emblem. It measures ~92mm by ~75mm; the part number is 75700-S5T-E01. I got mine from ICB Motorsports; it was not cheap.
The front emblem on the other hand varies by year. According to LegenD's Build Thread the 2015-2017 GK's use a 75700-S5T-E11 front emblem (he doesn't list dimensions)
The front emblem for 2018-2019 Fits is a little tricky. If you have the "Honda Sensing" option on your car then all bets are off. If anyone has found the right solution please chime in. My 2019 Sport without Honda Sensing came with a gigantic ~145mm X ~120mm stock emblem. As of the date of this post I have been unable to find one that big. However I noticed one on MattVR's 2018 Sport in this thread so I asked him about it.
Matt told me he got his here and it was ~136mm X ~111mm. Slightly smaller, but it looked fine on his car so I ordered one. The part number is 75701-SLJ-003
This picture shows the red emblem with the stock emblem under it. As you can see, the red emblem is just a smidge smaller.
Here is a pic of the emblem on my car.
I decided I wasn't interested in doing my steering wheel badge so I can't speak to it personally, but LegenD says he got his from J's Racing on eBay...
On a final red H note, if you are interested in even more red H's (and why wouldn't you be?), I picked up a set of these center caps from eBay. I'm sure they're not "genuine" but who cares. They appear to be decent quality and IMO they look fantastic on the black wheels, especially with black lug nuts.
Front badge is an SLJ, comes from the STEP WGN(RG1 front, RG3 front, RK1/3 front), Crossroad(front), N-BOX(front), CR-V('12-'13 front) and Legend('09 front).

Rear badge is an S5T - EP3 Type R rear.
I don't understand anything you just wrote but it sure sounds like you know what you are talking about.
Did I put the wrong emblems on my car? Please tell I put the right ones on?

If you look at Honda p/n's, the middle three letters/digits always tell you what car the part is for. For the GK Fit, it's chassis specific parts will almost always have the middle three digits of the p/n as "T5*"
Stuff like badges is a little different because they have a few set sizes they use for everything, but those are the cars that those badges come from.
If they work in the grille/tail garnish and fit nice then that's great, even though it's not something I'd personally do considering the red is USUALLY reserved for the Type-R variants of the chassis and there is no Fit Type-R.

No, but it's fun to pretend; we all do that with our Fits, pretend...
So, the correct size red rear emblem (all GK's), part number 75700-S5T-E01 actually an "EP3 Type R rear" (Gen 7 Civic) emblem, and the closest to correct size for the front of 2018-2019 GK, part number 75701-SLJ-003, is actually from a "Step Wagon"...? Good to know.
we should write a stern letter to honda about their poor choice in usage of red on 2018+ honda fit sport models. clearly, these are not type-r models .... and the red accents should be some else.... like purple

Having red H's on your car is like having amplifiers that go to 11...
