Roof Rack problem 2015 (custom track installed)
Hello all,
I have a problem with my 2015 Fit EX. I read about the roof issues here before buying but talked to rack attack and they assured me if I have a track installed it will be rated to over 200lbs.
With two whitewater kayaks on my roof (6-9' long and about 75lb) the driver side passenger bar dents in the roof. What options do I have here to make this work? This is a deal breaker.... If I get rid of the fit it's going to cost me about 3k. I don't really want to do that either because I like the car. I absolutely need to be able to put two kayaks on the roof though. Has anyone had this done and not had an issue? Can you post detailed photos of where you have your bars mounted? Thinking about trading this in for CRV but not sure it will be any better...

Rack and Roll 78" Trailer | Yakima
This is another option. I'm sure I can find something similar for cheaper to carry 3 or 4 kayaks but I'm not sure I want to settle/void the warranty/hassle of a trailer. Any ideas are appreciated.

hmm... did you read my post? I'd love to mount a 9' creek boat to a hitch mount style rack (if they existed?)

Oops missed that 2nd post My father in law puts a kayak on his Suzuki Reno roof with just some super firm foam and ratchet straps. But that's just one kayak.
