This is a sweet DIY! I have the cargo mat but when the seats are down it be great to protect the back of them. Looks so much cleaner than having a haphazardly folded tarp in the back for the cargo that needs it.

I've used 3'x 6' door entrance mat to the same effect but just lay it - it is an almost perfect fit! That way I can used the fuzzy side when I don't want a slippery surface & the rubber side when I want a surface that stuff doesn't stick to. To clean just whip it out & vacuum or hose down as needed.

Yes, that turned up edge makes all the difference, especially for anything liquid.
