Removing Shift Knob on CVT Model

For those of you who want to replace your Shift Knob on your CVT here is a link to a video I made on how to do just that. Note that it does not appear that you need to have a car in any particular gear to remove the knob - I just put it in Neutral to allow more room when removing the knob. Once the front cover is separated from the back be careful in removing the cover plate as there are two plastic retainers towards the bottom that you don't want to break - so once the cover is loose I would recommend removing it straight and not prying down too much. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the video! It's really helpful.

I looked for the leather shift knob for the 2015 Fit, but I couldn't find it online. Do you know if I could install the leather knob for the 09-13 models? Here's a picture and the part number: Automatic Select Knob 09-13 Fit

Thanks!

I don't even plan on doing this but appreciate the effort you put forward in showing everyone how to do it by video. Thanks!

Awesome video. I have a question about partnumbers, as i know honda does funny things with partnumbers and their pars diagrams at time. On the diagram below, it shows 6 as being the part to replace, however, the part number listing show 2 parts, different numbers, same description, and a 2x cost difference, which one is the correct one? 54131-T5A-J51ZA or 54131-T5R-A81ZA

*Edit, i found the partnumber thanks to Stembridge. drum roll, 54131-T5R-A81ZA
