Hello!

Now this the weather is getting a little warmer and the black interior of the Fit seems to retain heat quite well, I've been thinking about getting my windows tinted. Things is, I'm a complete n00b when it comes to all things tint. I've looked up my local laws and know what % I can get away with, but I'm wondering if there is a specific type or brand that is preferred by the Fit community? Also, is there a general price range for what it should cost to have all the windows tinted (except for the front windshield of course). I'd like to know what an acceptable range would be when calling around for quotes.

Have you tried browsing the forum? There are multiple tint-related threads floating around. Have you talked to other people who have tinted windiws for what they got, where they got it, etc? Have you gone to a tint store and talked with them and looked at the product? Have you gone to multiple stores to find the best price to ensure the first price you were quoted wasn't outrageously high?

 

I'm doing it another way, finding several installers first and going from there. I created an installer shortlist from looking around for candidates (in fitfreak and other places as well) and did my first visit/interview last week. I'm considering paint protection too so I have a long list of questions that includes price (for actual product plus install labor), brands they recommend, brands they stay way from, warranty, satisfaction guarantees, etc.
