Ouch. That's why I preferred those old fashion keys that you have to insert into the steering column and crank to get the engine started (LX model). I hope that includes programing the key to match the other one, or do you have to reprogram both keys?

Our dealer in LA quoted $500 so that already seems much more reasonable.
Willing to bet any reputable locksmith who does cars can do it for $200ish. Personally if I ever lost a key, I would be dismantling my second key to see what swaps over and research if the new one can be reprogrammed from the other.
If you only had one key to start with, that likely puts you at someone's mercy...
