2018 6 speed 4 gear clunk
2018 6 speed 4 gear clunk
Hey all!
Got a service appointment setup for next Thursday (the earliest... I know right?!) But wanted to ask here and see if anyone knew what it was...
about 20k on the clock, 3? oil changes or so now, maybe 4... but going from 3 to 4 or 5 to 4 there is an audible clunk.
If rev matching, it makes it worse, and it sounds like a gear is grinding... synchro? shift fork?
If you completely flat shift, and wait for rpms to drop under 2k it 'sometimes' still does it.
((EDIT))
Sorry about the title... I type 4th gear clunk... not sure what happened?!
Other random side question... going to be doing a bit of a build log, do I make a thread? just keep going on this one? Got a few things done already, and got some questions if others have input it would be appreciated, especially to when it comes to wheels and tires. I gotta admit... I'am a bit jealous of the fit sport users with their fancy 16 inch HFP rims but oh well!

I have a 2018 Fit 6speed with roughly the same amount of miles (and strangely less oil changes). I do not notice the 5-4 or 4-5 cluck you're experiencing. Mind you, I also installed the Acuity Instruments shifter cable bushings.
