Front Spoiler Ripped Off
Front Spoiler Ripped Off
I parked at CVS, and as I backed out, I heard unhappy noises up front. The rebar spike holding down the concrete parking slab was sticking up, and it caught the spoiler. I ordered a new one from Honda Parts Direct for $48.24, delivered. I'm surprised it was so reasonable.

I totally forgot to reinstall that piece. After I installed that ebay special front lip, I just left 71110-T5R-A10 off
And yea, our car is short, dont park all the way in!!! stick out a bit.... who cares... trucks do it all the time!

Those concrete barriers are low enough, but this one had the rebar spike that holds it in place up too high by 2 - 3 inches. It wasn't hammered down all the way. I don't usually pull that far into a parking space - just a combination of two bad things. If I was the more aggressive type, I would have complained to the manager.
I'm talking about the 2" wide rubber strip that runs all across the lower front of the bumper. It pulled off about 90%. I had to loop it up under the hood to drive home. It must have been caught on the rebar because I could hear POP - POP - POP as I backed up. That was the sound of the attaching points being ripped off. I suppose my mileage will drop by about 10 MPG now.
