Front Spoiler Ripped Off

I parked at CVS, and as I backed out, I heard unhappy noises up front. The rebar spike holding down the concrete parking slab was sticking up, and it caught the spoiler. I ordered a new one from Honda Parts Direct for $48.24, delivered. I'm surprised it was so reasonable.

Did you drive over the car stop? Seriously, the Fit is so short there’s no need to pull up close in a parking space.

My front spoiler is cracked from when I hit a cat that ran across the road.

Is that just the black center piece? Was it FUBAR or did you not notice it was missing till you got home?

Those concrete barriers are low enough, but this one had the rebar spike that holds it in place up too high by 2 - 3 inches. It wasn't hammered down all the way. I don't usually pull that far into a parking space - just a combination of two bad things. If I was the more aggressive type, I would have complained to the manager.

I'm talking about the 2" wide rubber strip that runs all across the lower front of the bumper. It pulled off about 90%. I had to loop it up under the hood to drive home. It must have been caught on the rebar because I could hear POP - POP - POP as I backed up. That was the sound of the attaching points being ripped off. I suppose my mileage will drop by about 10 MPG now.
