3 things driving me nuts about my 2017

Hi Folks

I purchased a salvage 2017 Honda Fit Ex back in July, in CA-USA. I had it re-certified in MI-USA as REBUILT.

I'm trying to figure out the following 3 things (w/o manuals):

1. get the damn LOW tire pressure indicator to turn OFF (know all tires are correct and exact, because I have a digital pressure gauge).
2. want the lights to come on at NIGHT when I open any doors (and slowly turn OFF once shut)
3. want to manually change the percentage good OIL indicator

Thanks and bless you
Rob

Have you reprogrammed the TPMS? There is a little button on the lower left of the dash?

When you say lights, do you mean the cabin lights or head lights? There should be a switch on the dome light to come on with the door, stay off or be on all the time. When it's set to come on with the door, it turns on when door opens and fades away once doors are closed after a while.

Don't know of any way to change the maintenance minder. It comes on when oil is at 15% every time you start the car.

In regard to #1. How much did you spend on your "digital" tire pressure gauge? Just because it's digital doesn't make it more accurate. You get what you pay for in regard to tire pressure gauges. I'll take my 4-1/2" face Longacre Racing analog tire pressure gauge to most peoples digital gauges any day. To better answer your question about the light staying on. The passive TPMS measures wheel speed differences. If the tires are unevenly worn, the light will stay on regardless of the pressure they are set at. If the tires are brand new, then you missed something when "rebuilding" it

#3 once you reset the maintenance minder the computer uses your diving style and conditions such as city or all highway to determine when you need an oil change. It's NOT based on millage. I might need an oil change every 5K miles or less, someone else might go 10K miles You can't manually have it remind you at a predetermined interval because it doesn't work that way.

#2 I don't know what "The Lights" refers to? There's lots of lights on the car. Which ones specifically?

.

this thread sucks

/the end

seriously tho, #3 makes my head hurt. does the op want to change the % to go from say, 10% to another #? if so, that is dumb. does the op want to change the actual BEHAVIOR of the MM , IE .... does the op want the % rate to change to his own liking? if so ... that is dumb. or, does the op simply want to reset the MM, if so ... RTFM

for #1, I found this:
and will get back to the group (I own Tuisy
and an Astro brand digital pressure gauges and these are as good as what a performance shop would have. Probably won't ever use a manual gauge ever again

for #2, just the normal cabin lights that come on with all of my other vehicles (including 2 - Gen 1 Honda Insights). Turn off key, cabin lights come on, after the door is shut, dim and turn off cabin lights. FIXED -> Pg# 36 of the Owners Manual I just downloaded. What was throwing me off was that they stayed on if I remained seated in the vehicle whereas my 2000 and 2001 Honda Insights are timed, i.e. they go OFF even if you remain seated in the vehicle.

for #3, I had to change the oil (regardless of what the instrument panel said was still good). I knew at what mileage the oil was changed and I was overdue after driving from CA to MI-USA. just figured it would be an easy thing to change after the fact. (So if oil changed are at 7,500 miles, and I've already put 5,000 on the vehicle since the oil change, I want to set it to 33% FOUND THIS:
looks like it can only be cleared versus setting it to a percentage.
