I didn't think I'd run into this issue on the GK5 platform but here we are. My hatch wont open. The handle works perfectly fine but the actuator has died in the lock position. In the truck I removed the rear plastic panel and gained access to the actuator but there seems to be no way to bypass the actuator.
any ideas!?

 

Nevermind I found the little knob that moves left and right to manually lock or unlock the actuator 👌🤘

That stinks - so the lock mechanism is inside that plastic housing so if the link failed - the whole part has to be replaced?

 

I'm not sure about that one, but for the doors you can take the actuator apart and there is a little <$5 motor you can replace.
