So I just rechecked the recall and at first my car was cleared from the recall and now just this week I got an alert from Honda saying my car is now effected. Great timing because I feel like this has been my hesitation problem upon acceleration sometimes, even after changing coils and spark plugs.

I am not sure what you mean by the "console." Usually fuel pumps in cars with fuel injection are located inside the gas tank, are they not? The Fit gas tank is located under the front seats.

The term "console" in automotive generally means that center area between the front seats. For example, "console shifter."
As you mentioned, Fit's fuel tank is under the front seats, and the low-pressure pump is right in the middle, under the "console."

When I took my car to the dealer for this recall service, I cleaned out everything and put the rear seats in "tall mode," and the service adviser was happy to see that, since it makes their job easier.

My 2019 Fit LX (USA) was just issued a recall notice and received it in the mail yesterday. That means locally we have new parts available to install in New England.

Total correction from my upthread post--my wife's 2019 LX WAS included. We scheduled the service appointment, dropped it off and received it a couple of hours later. Got the dealer notice in the mail the next day lol.

A side note for those of you who may be interested-- We'd thought her CVT was just naturally sluggish on acceleration in general, but especially up an incline or merging onto freeways. -NOPE! Turns out it's respectable now in those situations. Obv not blazing, but predictable acceleration.

Who knows how long we would have gone before getting into some accident because of this? (or how many others already had such problems, thereby prompting the recall in the first place?)

The sluggish acceleration is a safety concern when you are mashing the gas and barely going 5mph.

well, it wasn't literally 5mph, but definitely noticeable, just glad the recall worked out for us in that regard.

Just had my fuel pump replaced. Man what a difference! My acceleration and mpg went way up! I almost have 70000 miles on my 19 Fit Sport, so I'm not complaining that Honda changed my fuel pump for free. 😎

How much did your mpg go up? I'm curious since the engine only "burns the correct amount of air given the gas infeed" as determined by the oxygen sensors.

I just had the GK Fit fuel pump recall part installed, Honda part 06170-TBZ-305 (F/Pump kit). No change to driving or operating performance.
