While the addition of Honda Sensing is appreciated, I believe that's about a US$ 1,000 cost increase if you want it (optional on LX, mandatory on EX). That's kind of a stiff hit although yes, I believe other manufacturers charge more for this stuff.
The addition of "Orange Fury" (I'm going to call it "Cheesy Orange") gives the North American Fit 8 colors - BUT in Japan they've just announced a handful of new colors for the Jazz taking them up to 12 colors . Since our cars mostly come from there why won't they share all the paint with us?
Today's announcement is just a partial with some more to come. There's nothing yet on the interior (eg upholstery) or lighting (the Japanese have announced the Jazz is getting LED DRLs - I think it already had LED headlights(?)).

Oh, boo hoo. But it is a limited article, not a catalog or a complete accessory list. The larger article is a review of the 2016, not the 2017 or 18.

Same engine, same torque and hp. Same slowness. I would think at a minimum, Honda would re-ramp the 6 spd gear ratios. Sorry, I can't get exciting about the sensing "safety" features. Lane departure warning? Stop texting while driving, and maybe get some sleep? I like my LX CVT just fine.

^^ Agreed! The Honda sensing system is good but not an alternative to good driving practices and staying alert.
Admittedly though, I'm having an internal debate of ditching my CR-Z for one of these maybe for the 2019 model year. I miss the practicality when used my GD as a daily but the CVT in the GK dulls the car down too much for me (This coming from an 5 speed A/T owner of all things) and the current 6 speed M/T is just way to closely geared for 3 through 6.
Hopefully they also added a damn volume knob to the Sports... Dumbest thing ever. -.-

hey hootie-yah, honestly if you want one, you should get one before the next gen. nothing confirmed, but i have a feeling they aren't going to offer MT after this gen.
like only MT will be civic Si and R.

Otherwise, it's pretty much what I expected from a refresh. New front and rear fascias, a new color or two. The "Sport" package was unexpected, but mostly cosmetic.
To those who were expected 20 more HP or revised manual gear ratios, I can only say that's not the way Honda works. Be thankful you can still get a manual transmission at all. You probably won't have that choice in the next generation.
