I bought my 2019 Honda Fit last December, and so far the car has been fine aside from some rust on the seat rails. I'm going to take my Fit in to get an oil change soon, as it's nearing 5,000 miles, and the oil life is at around 30%. There is, however, one issue that I've recently discovered under the hood, and I was wondering if I ask the dealer about it. On the left side of the car, near the hood's hinge, there's a metal bit that looks really poorly put together. It looks all bent up. On the right side of the hood, it looks fine. Honestly, I don't really care about it if it doesn't affect the structural integrity of the car, as it can only be seen if you open the hood. Is this an issue worth bringing up?
Left side (outer angle) looks all bent out of shape, kind of like they welded it in the wrong order and beat it into shape Left side (straight on) Left side (inner angle) Right side (inner angle) looks normal Right side (straight on) Right side (outer angle)
curious , i just checked my '19 LX , there is a difference in the sheet metal from one side to another . as in the picture , the driver's side is showing
a heavier gauge ( fender side ) than the passenger side . on mine , the top edge of the thinner material has small ripples , maybe for some strength ?
it's pretty thin . . was your car bought new ? there are spot welds between the inner and outer pieces . the inner piece on your passenger side looks a little bent , as does the outer
piece . on mine they meet flat .
i'd inspect those spot welds . if one is missing or damaged in some way , i'd say that's an issue . it's a potential weak spot . possibly the car had some
body work done ? at any rate , those spot welds have to be sound .

Yes, my car was bought brand new. I asked this same question on Reddit a while back, and some other Fit owners reported pretty much the same thing that I'm seeing on my car. I'm assuming that it's a fairly common thing.
