Not a car guy. First car in 20 years. 2020 Honda Fit LX CVT. Apologies for the dummies question. I drove the car at night for the first time this early morning (still pitch dark) and I noticed for the first time that other then the blue headlights icon that was lit up the hazard warning button appeared (it looks like a triangle I guess) to be on as well or at least it glowed orange or is it red. Frankly I did not want to dick around with it before asking. It could very well not have been "on" and it just is always lit up so that you know where it is and if pressed it will start to flash. It could have accidentally been turned on prior to my getting the car and I never noticed that it was lit since I have only driven during the day.I guess the non chicken sh*t thing to have done was to press it and see if it flashes or just goes off but in my old age I have become afraid of my shadow. Comments, help and ridicule welcome.
If the flasher is on, you should see both directional arrows blink on the dash. That's how you know it's activated. Otherwise the backlight just lets you know where it is.

Thank you for the quick response.

No, I did not see anything else vying for my attention.

Ah! Fooled by the old back light phenomenon : ) Thanks for the clarification.
Red triangles are a standard symbol for "warning" on roadways outside the US and Canada (they're pretty effective at drawing the eye). Tutuapp9appsShowbox
