Anyone knows what this part is, What it does? Thing felt like a hard sponge/foam.
I noticed it did not have those small holes before. should I be looking to replace this part.Honda Fit 2015 EX North America.
Thanks
It's a foam insulator for the high pressure fuel pump.
You should notice the same type of insulation on the front of the engine near the intake manifold.

Thanks! How do I tell if this thing needs to be replaced?
It's not disintegrating when I touch it.
Do you know the part number? Just incase if I need to replace.

May need to call a dealer. I didn't see a part number listed on hondapartsnow. Can't hurt to replace it if you want to but I'm a preventative maintenance maniac.
