I was searching on Cars.com and instead of sorting by distance as I normally do, I sorted by price, and this once popped up.

Anybody in MA interested in the most expensive Fit in the US?

Personally, I think I'll wait on the cheaper model.

 

When I first saw that I wondered about if for a moment and then just assumed that for advertising purposes they put a very high price so they would be the first seen by anyone looking for a 2015 fit. That was the only thing I could think of. But then again who would want to call them if they thought that was the actual price, so maybe not the best strategy to get customers.

 

I think we all saw that one. I was waiting for it to change/be updated at some point.

 

Is it a 2035 Fit with an OEM flux capacitor? Inflation...

 

$20,000 in dealer applied accessories and upgrades, including the rare but much sought after super premium pro pack.

 

They forgot to mention it's a two-pack, I guess.

 

Yes, the price listed by the dealer is exactly double the MSRP for that model.. Wonder if the second car Fits in the trunk?


I understood that that back in the early/mid 70's, the west coast British Leyland distributor wholesaled some of their cars to the dealers that way.. Oh, you want a Jaguar? Fine. It comes with an Austin in the trunk.. The distributor's way of moving inventory that the dealers didn't want.


Perhaps Honda has some models/colors the dealers/public don't want either.

 

I'll bet that the same dealer has another fit listed for $1. Good luck buying that one for that price!
