My 2016 didn't start this morning until I pressed it a few times. I think I'm going to drop it off tonight. I came on the site and saw this post. Hopefully this will cover it.

Shadow Smith, how did your push button repair at the dealership turn out? We have a 2015 Fit EXL and it just started acting up with the push button needing to be pushed multiple times when starting the Fit as well as turning off the Fit. We replaced the batteries in the key fob but it did not help. It looks like we will need to drop our car off at the dealer also?

Push Button Start Not Starting.

Take your Fit to your local Honda Dealer for the FREE NO COST TO YOU repair.

The start button issue is going to get worse. It takes 2 or 3 push starts now to start your Fit. Eventually, it will take 4,5,6,7 and more push starts to start your Fit.

I took the Fit to our local Honda dealership and they replaced the Engine Start Stop Switch (Part#: 35881-T5A-J03 Switch Assy) under the Warranty Extension. No cost to me at all. Once the switch was replaced, our Fit now starts and stops with 1 push of the start/stop button. Prior to the Start Stop Switch replacement, we also had the dash light key symbol with exclamation, but it is now gone with the new switch assembly in place. I couldn't be happier! Thank you Fit Freak Forum!!
