Adding Pushbutton Start (15LX)

Wondering if it's possible/ realistic to DIY install keyless entry and a push button start in my 2015 LX (ie. convert to keyless)

I chose the base model because at the time of purchase I had a loaded SUV and wanted a cheap daily driver with no bells and whistles. Now my Fit is my exclusive vehicle and my only regrets are not having the push button start and keyless entry. I'd like to install both myself although I'm guessing keyless entry is a whole asspain of new door handles and wiring that's not worth it if it's even possible to begin with. If it isn't possible or worth it for keyless entry, there's no reason to do the push start IMO, so it's both or none at this point.

Has anyone has had success with installing either or both who can share their experience?

And be prepared to replace the pushbutton every now and then. They seem to be frequent failure item, based on what I've read from this forum.

Personally I feel so lucky to have a car, which starts by the key.

Yeah, I'm pretty half hearted about the changes at this point, it's really just the laziness of not having to fish my key out of my pocket or bag that I got used to with all the fancy cars I used to own. The irony of spending hours and frustrating hours trying to do the mods just to not have to spend a few seconds remembering which pocket my key is in and shuffling stuff between hands to get it is not lost on me though.

True that all those keyless mods are just more electronics that can break, I do love the overall simplicity of my base model.

If I were you I'd stick with the key start. Third gen Fits have a known failure point at the push button start, so much so that Honda recently extended the warranty on them.

We paid for it and it broke. Despite replacing the starter switch and then cleaning the original starter switch, the pushbutton now works fine, but the whole comfort/convenience thing doesn't, so I have to fish out the key and hold it up to the button for the car to detect it. Garbage. If anyone knows how to make the convenience work, let me know, please.
