Key Fob Replacement for EX

I picked up a 16 EX this weekend that came with just one fob. Stopped by my trusty dealership and it's $330 for the fob and whatever it takes to make it work. I tried searching the forums for info, but it kicked out the words fob and key on me, so I thought I'd ask if there's a better and less expensive way to get a second fob?

There are some brands that require dealer reprogramming, but I don't think Honda is one of them, so aftermarket is a strong possibility. In other words, you're not locked into Honda fobs from a Honda dealership.

You might want to try a local locksmith or a small electronics shop as a cost-saving option. I would only use the dealer if I couldn't get it done any other way.

Have you tried eBay? https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...ob+EX&_sacat=0
I have a LX, so I don't know what the EX fob looks like.

A local place sold us a key for our 2020 LX for $80 including programming. So the local locksmith/key place is the way to go. Just for reference, here's a link to our place - but of course it's local to us:

Chapanar's QuiKEYS - automotive locksmith, auto locksmith, 24 hour locksmith

I think $240 is a good deal, even a locksmith can charge the exact amount for key replacement.

Jeez Louise, I didn't realize the replacement keys on these cars are so cheap!
It's a far cry from the $500CAD price my dad was quotes for a replacement master key for his Volvo S60 from the dealership (only place in Canada/N America that offers them).
