TL Fob

Hey everyone.

I just finished the TL key fob mod for my car and will be writing up a DIY this evening sometime. The process involves reprogramming the fob to your Fit and removing the immobilizer chip from one of your current keys and then putting it into the TL fob....there's a bit of drilling / cutting involved, but not that much.

Total cost was just over $100 ($43.07 for the fob, $45 to get the key cut + tax).

If anyone wants a hand on doing it, just let me know!

Well, I went to Richmond Acura and bought the fob there. No problems and I even told the parts guy what I was doing. His name was Lawrence. He thought I was doing it for an Accord!

$43.05 + tax for the fob.

After looking at this mod in person here's my impressions.

Pros
- Unique Looking Key
- Overall Shorter then Stock Key when closed

Cons
- Price ($100)
- Acura Logo
