Good News, Bad News: AC died at 56k miles.
I've not seen this issue here nor on the Facebook groups for our GK.
Good news: We returned from a 6k mile trip to the West and South last Wednesday. The car (2015 Fit EX) was perfect and the trip was great
Bad News: The AC died 2 days later. This was also good news, since it would have been hell with the heat and humidity.
Anyway, it's fixed, and it works better than it ever did. The cost was less than originally anticipated, but still $1,670.
I just wanted to share for the record. Fuel injectors and start button still fine!

Do you have/use the Econ button (Eco?) My understanding is it cycles the AC compressor on and off frequently to save gas, but it must take a toll on it.....am wondering if it's worth using on our new HRV, my Fit has nothing high tech (other than a backup camera....LOL)
The compressor failed and required replacement. We can only speculate why...prolonged high altitude and temps, grasshopper ingestion in North Dakota? Altitude maybe, but we're from Tampa, so heat is an unlikely culprit.
I never use the Econ button.
I never use the Econ button.
Sorry to hear that, but I guess there's some solace in not being completely unlucky.
And I just learned the difference between the compressor and condenser.
